About SBH Queensland

SBH Queensland provides information, therapy and other services to adults and children with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and their families in Queensland, Australia.
The Education and Therapy Service provides occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language pathology, social work and education advice to children and families with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and provides advice and support to teachers and other professionals. SBH Queensland receives financial support from Education Queensland to help run this program.
The GOALS program teaches adults with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus some of the skills needed to live well. The Queensland Department of Communities – Disability Services provides a subsidy to help run this program.

Board of Directors
SBH Queensland’s board of directors is elected by the members of SBH Queensland at its annual general meeting held in November each year.
The current board has six directors who have life experience of spina bifida and/or skills required for proper governance of the association.
SBH Queensland staff
SBH Queensland employs 14 professional staff to provide services to children and adults with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and 2 support staff.
